im genuinely interested on how you learn to draw and how you draw, can you give us a tutorial on how to draw miku?

how to draw is always such a loaded question so i tried to keep it as simple as i could! miku’s design means that she’s easily recognisable as long as her blue hair and blue tie are kept while she’s hiding in your wifi!

‘how to draw’ is always a very loaded question when it’s not just about the basics.

sorry about hijacking your ask to reflect on drawing as a whole but yeah my honest advice to anyone looking to improve on their drawing skills would be to pick a character you really like and use them as your personal art ragdoll :3

thank u omg I love how YOU draw him !! 🎊 The can of worms you're opening by asking me this... I only became obsessed with him 3 weeks ago but that's many hours to think... If I gave you all we'd be sitting here for another three weeks but I'll write some out!! ok ok I think:

It would kill him to not get to cuddle

He got ADHD and Autism

He has APD too, which could be tied to the overall neurodivergence but I also think he has some sort of brain damage because Garp hit him so much as a kid +

He's had a habit of harming himself whenever he gets an autistic meltdown. Banging his head and stuff, the way he's seen doing in one piece a few times (when he loses the crew at the saboby archapelago for example... don't even talk to me about this i feel insane over it 💥). It did less damage to his body once he became rubber.

He's very loud when he has a meltdown but other than that he's a very silent crier most of the time

He has a really really good memory!

I think Luffy age regresses, and he does it quite a bit but it's not always obvious to others when he's regressed or not. People just think he's childish, and he is that too, to be fair. I also don't think he understand it himself so he's not really taking time explaining his experiences. Usopp knows though 🥺

I think that a big important part of his pirate dream is to have a big loyal family and never have to be alone 🫡

He drinks water from puddles in the street

On occasions he gets very insecure about his masculinity in a way that seems to be very out of character Those are a few thoughts- I saw your post about the strawhats teaching him to read and do math to and I love love that thought >

You make them call Crocodile baba, what does that mean? is that Dad? or is it just a nickname i've been wanting to ask this for a while now

It's a variation of Papa. I could have used Papa instead but people suggested Baba and it sounds cute :3 (Since it seems to be in use in the Near/ Middle East and he's linked to Alabasta - even though he looks so out of place there that I'm sure he's not a native - that seems to fit.)

i read the Ace manga, is the novel different? Cause it was included Deuce smacked Ace with the ply wood but i didn't know it went further then that TELL ME IT IS SO I HAVE TO READ IT

Ok it's been a lil while since I read it so I don't remember everything but yeah they're different! They follow the same rough beats but the manga compresses it a lot (understandably, due to being a manga instead of a novel lmao) and some scenes flow rather differently n have different details. I read the manga first n there was still a ton for me to enjoy in the novel, so I def recommend checking out both!!

was going through your one piece art cause im in love with your style and a lot of things you think, that including Law and Luffy, do you still draw one piece? have thoughts about things in it? and my last question have you read Law's novel? i've been reading it on and off and im unsure if you would like the insight or if it would ruin how you think of the heart pirates in your own headcanons and what not, sorry to bother if this is annoying

Alas, I can’t draw anymore because of hand/wrist/arm problems! I stopped about 6 years ago, chiefly because of the hand/wrist/arm but also because when I got a new laptop in 2019 it turned out that my tablet lagged with it, and there wasn’t any way to fix that, so between the medium not being readily accessible and causing me pain it dropped off the list of my free time activities. (And at this point I really can’t, I’ve got unremitting tendonitis from my hand pretty much all the way up my shoulder, it’s, uh. Probably the multiple sclerosis.)

But the pirates still have a special place in my heart!! Though I’m afraid I haven’t watched/read One Piece in many years either. What I DO still do is poke at the novel-length incomplete longfic still sitting around on my hard drive every few months or so, lol... Every time I think about posting the 80% that I have as a WIP amnesty I realize that I like too much of it to fritter it away unfinished, and back into the depths of my hard drive it goes. SOME DAY! Some day maybe I will post my Lawlu sci-fi AU magnum opus,

(…And possibly also try to catch up on the actual series, but that feels like a secondary priority, lol. IF ANYONE WANTS TO REGALE ME WITH THE CLIFFSNOTES OF THE LAST ~6 YEARS FOR MY FAVORITE SAD PIRATE, THOUGH, I am ALL ears,)
