Vanoé ship dynamics before I forget them
-toxic optimist x excessive pessimist
-Human who has a penchant for dramatics & dark clothing and likes hanging upside down x vampire who struggles to stand on ceilings and likes desserts w apples in them
-cat lover x literal personification of a black cat
-bad handwriting (artist) x bad handwriting (doctor)*
-boy who loves the moon x boy who killed the moon
*angsty additional hc, I think that Vanitas would also have hand tremors bc of chronic pain & the general damage done to his body
" Mors et salvatio "
Watercolour and chalk pastels on paper
Whenever I think about Vanitas and Noe,I keep on and on coming back to the meaning of salvation. The concept that one person's salvation may not be the same for another, and that it may be near impossible to comprehend at times. I fear that death will be Vanitas' salvation, similar to what Louis had wanted and been denied. At the same time the disappearance of someone so deeply intertwined with his life, even if it counts as that person's salvation, may just end up a curse on Noé, the one left behind. Can both attain salvation at the same time? I feel like the answer is no, and if one does, the other is forever robbed of it...It's an endless thought I keep pondering, the central theme of VnC: "What is Salvation?"
I initially envisoned them in a stained glass window chapel, but thinking about the lighting gave me a headache,so this is what you get.
I miss them sm
