"So... I stabbed him."
Her expression is surprisingly neutral as she stares at the body on the ground. A silence stretches on awkwardly, after his explanation.
“…Well, that’s not the least bit surprising, but he was unfortunately wanted alive.”

In a galaxy somewhere, far, far away-- A bunch of assholes are standing in a circle doing a little bit of good and a little bit of bad.

You are mine.
She flinched away, only slightly, but it was enough for him to notice. She thought the end of the war had brought the end of her ties to the Jedi, effectively severing her from that world, but Yeshuo’s sudden appearance changed all that. In fact, it had dragged her back in, kicking and screaming.
She had only spent a few days with him since he had abducted her, but so far, it seemed that beyond their initial encounter, he had no intentions of hurting her. That didn’t mean she didn’t feel trapped, no, but it was the small things, at this point. She had found a small nook to curl up in, trying to find some time to herself, to think and process her new life. Keeping Yeshuo’s horrible secret, while he kept hers, a tiny detail that could easily tear down whatever sense of normalcy they were building.
Hirani was certain that her new companion wouldn’t notice if she slipped away for a short time. She was wrong. Upon discovering that he could not find her, the Yuuzhan Vong nearly tore the ship apart looking for her, desperate. She didn’t know why, perhaps he thought she would turn him in, but when she finally climbed out into the open, she was sure he would strike her, his eyes wild and chest heaving. Instead, he grabbed her by the arms, as if she’d be ripped away any second, eyes boring into her.
“You are mine.”
A cold shiver made its way down her spine at the emotion in his words, eyes meeting his. They stood there for a few moments, perfectly still, staring, until finally, he looked away.

Her disconnection from the Force had made her feel as if the Empire had removed a limb from her. It was still there, she could sense it, but she had means of reaching out to it, immersing herself in it. The cuffs saw to that.
Even still, even with her small stature and meek personality, they had herded her into the maximum security section of the Purge, isolated aside from the only other being imprisoned there, whom she had not met. She would not meet any of the other prisoners, who were male and dangerous, the worst of the worst, but maybe not as dangerous as she was to the Empire. She had to wonder, if a Jedi was one of the two to be kept under this scrutiny, who was the other?
Maybe it was the cuffs, but when she tried to reach out to him, there was nothing. She knew it was a him, because she had heard the struggles to feed him, to keep him contained.
Hirani was the easy prisoner. The guards, despite their distaste, liked her. She was small and polite and made no attempts to attack or escape when they fed her, her bonds too important to remove. One even gave her looks, the kind that made her feel cold inside, like she was glad for the others who came with him, and the walls when he was alone outside her door.
Coughing was the first sign of trouble. She could hear it when the guards came to feed her. It only got worse after that.
Because then it went quiet.
The Purge was never quiet, not for this long.
She stood, lifting her hands to pound at her door, shouting for help. Where were the guards? Where were the inmates?
She stepped back, feeling herself start to tremble, and paced, trying to clear her head, piece together what she could.
There was a creak. She turned to it.
Her door was open.
Open open open.
Something was wrong.
She pushed through, looking about for danger, but whoever or whatever had opened the door was gone. There was nothing.
She needed to run, to hide, to get away, but there was still another prisoner, and she couldn’t leave him behind. No matter how dangerous, what he had done, who he was, he didn’t deserve to be left in there.
She forced herself down the hall, panic rising in her chest like bile, and struggled with his lock. They were going to escape. Whatever this was, they were going to escape it.

"So small. So fragile and unsure. Let go of your inhibitions... and trust in me."
She was so conflicted, she didn’t know what to do. Maybe she was apprehensive of what she felt was in store, what she’d watched from the outside for years with no intentions of joining in, but she couldn’t outright refuse.
It was a blessing, sometimes, to experience the radio silence that was Yeshuo after being bombarded with others’ feelings and thoughts for most of her life, but when she wanted to know how he felt, there was nothing. She had always been so empathetic, trying to gauge others and act accordingly. This… This was dizzying for her.
“I trust you.”
What else could she say? She had been trying to convince him of her gentleness and compassion for a long time now, and it was time for her to take the first steps to prove that she would open herself up to him, no matter who they had been in the past. She couldn’t meet his eyes, but she knew he was watching her, trying to read her just as she was trying to read him.
Can I kiss you?
She could refuse him. She knew, in the forefront of her mind, that she had every right to say ‘no’. Whether or not her answer would be respected, she couldn’t be entirely sure, but she knew that her permission was hers to give freely. But looking at Yeshuo, this beast of a man, this killer who probably knew very little of kindness and gentleness, who probably very rarely had anyone willingly put their trust in him, she faltered.
She could say no, but she didn’t want to. Hirani offered a soft smile, a small, proving expression that was meant to measure how genuine his request was, and nodded. She didn’t trust her voice not to squeak, not now when she needed to demonstrate trust. Her eyes flicked up to his face, expectantly.
