Nofilter Booklr Challenge: Nov 19 - Scribbled or Written in All photos are AS IS, no crops, no filters, no sharpening.
Other than my college research from eons ago, I really don’t write in my books. But I do like to flag parts. Generally, blue is for sad, pink for romantic or sweet moments, orange for funny, and green is for quotes or important exposition.
@sonderreads #nofilterbooklr challenge: The oldest book you own
Fire From Heaven by Mary Renault. Got this for $3. Inscription reads “To Tom Tscoppal from dad and mother December 25, 1971.″ I like to think this was a gift from accepting parents to their gay son, as this is a very gay book written by a prolific lesbian author.

Prompt: I’m making up my own! This one is for: Books I will only ever buy used
I’ve seen new copies of Mary Higgins Clark books, and Louis L’Amour books that are in, like, good shape, some of them even hardbacks.
Nope, not for me, wrong vibe entirely for the story they hold. They must be small paperbacks, with yellowing pages, and spines that are ideally broken, maybe even taped back together.
Anyone else have books like that?
@sonderreads #nofilterbooklr challenge: a book that is falling apart. Not so much falling as already fallen
No filter book challenge!
@sonderreads
Prompt: the oldest book you own, in all its glory But also qualifies as: ex library book, a book that is falling apart, a book that has been scribbled on or written in, a book that has been stained by food or drink, a book with yellowing pages, a book with torn pages, a book with dogeared pages
My grandmother gave me this book of Favorite Greek Myths, that she found in a dumpster when she was young! It was published in 1904, and used to be a public school library book. I love it.
Gonna tag: @the-owleryreader, @left-handlibrary, and @literatureandwit if they’re interested 😊

Am I a smeyer fan? Absolutely not but I'm a complete and utter sucker for aliens falling in love.
This one actually works for book that's falling apart and book without a dust jacket. The jacket fell apart, both covers had to be duct taped on, and there's a good chunk of the pages are covered in coffee stains.
No Filter Challenge: a book that has been scribbled on or written in & a book with torn pages (Kind of! It’s really just the cover and back on this one.)
My copy of Hamlet with all my messy scribbles and sticky notes!
