I am fucking awesome.
Me
-Closed- All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.
Spock was wary of the boy who had come aboard their ship. There was something odd about him, the way he moved, the way he spoke, the way he looked at other crew members. It wasn't like the crew were particularly at ease around Spock themselves, but they seemed to find the boy disconcerting as well.
When he had expressed the concerns to Nyota, she had suggested that it was just due to Charlie's isolation. He had accepted that, perhaps, he didn't understand the idiosyncrasies of Terran who had spent the majority of his developmental years without contact and had deferred to her judgement.
That was until Nyota had inexplicably lost her voice beside him. He had been able to find no reason for her to have lost it so suddenly, with such completeness and he had immediately accompanied her to Sickbay.
Once there he had immediately contacted the Captain. He needed to know that something was not right aboard his ship.
Spock had been watching the Captain closely over recent weeks, since their voyage began. He had not known whether or not his admission, that he did indeed feel something towards his Captain, would change their relationship. He knew that the experience had changed him. Forever a child of two worlds, he had consciously thrown aside Vulcan logic and control in order to attempt to comfort his friend.
Nyota was making fierce gestures at Doctor McCoy in the corner of his eye.
"Spock to Captain Kirk. We have had an incident in the Rec Room sir."

He was just finishing filing the last of his inventory logs when he heard the medbay doors open. "Awful late," he called without looking up. "Something I can help you with?"
+nohumility lured you in with his charm, his mustache, and his perfect hair!
"Nick Miller -- pleasure to meet you. Or, I hope it will be. Anything I can do for you, or are you just here to piss me off?"

"Yes, yes, what is it?" Bones snapped, cursing when he dropped something. He seemed more annoyed and stressed then usual. "I'm kind of busy here." The doctor muttered as he turned around to face whoever it was that had come in.
