Let's talk microneedling for a moment. There's not much I do for myself as far as self care goes. I get my nails and toes done because I refuse...REFUSE...to do them myself. I will never get those nail wraps or anything like that. I want others to do my nails for me. Period. I take a bubble bath once a week. That's been about it. And to be perfectly honest, if I wear it, I'm the chick who goes to bed with her makeup ON. GASP! 😱 Yes, it's true. Time has been exceptionally kind, along with excellent genes, to my 47 year old face. I've never had plastic surgery, injections or enhancements of any kind. I have just recently started using hyaluronic acid serum on my face on occasion to help keep it hydrated. But that's basically it. Last year I heard about microneedling. I've noticed some lines creeping in around my eyes and forehead and from all the weight I've gotten rid of, my neck started to get a little saggy, which has aged me more than anything else. I figured what would it hurt to try it out, especially because you can get the stuff to do it at home, at your convenience. I've done it a few times so far and I've noticed a difference in the lines - they're smaller and less pronounced, my neck - it's firmer, the bags under my eyes - not as big anymore and even my lips - yes, it works to actually plump them without injections or fillers. As you can see here, it makes your skin red for a little while and it CAN make it itchy. I've learned the trick to stopping the itching though. Use hyaluronic acid serum before and after! All in all, I'm a fan and if I'm going to age as gracefully as possible without truly doing much of anything, I'm going to do it on my terms. Maybe with a little help. #MomTalk #RealTalk #SingleMom #SingleMomLife #NoMakeup #NoInjections #NoPlasticSurgery #AllNatural #AsRealAsItGets #Microneedling #AgeGracefully #47AndFabulous #47YearsYoung #SelfCare https://www.instagram.com/p/COwf5fFlB5E/?igshid=5oz4a0ikbmwy
