Rex!!! Missed Zulu but I'm outchea finally!!! #happymardigras2016 #nolacrew # fattuesday
10 years later and there is still work to do in New Orleans, Louisiana to help rebuild homes for the ones that lost their home to this natural disaster. It was not only that a hurricane hit the city but it was also the levy that failed the city and let in water that in some places was up to 17 feet deep. It is hard to recover from something this horrific and it truly shows when you go down and look at the proof. This city is rich with history and culture that could never get drowned out by a storm. This year on our 2015 Rebuild Trip I saw how far they have come, but also how much more there is to accomplish. This house that is show above has not been touched since the storm, most homeowners have had to leave their homes and property behind because of lack of resources whether it was not covered by insurance, no money to return home, or even some that were affected by fraudulent contractors that ran away with their money. There are currently over 5,000 people on the wait list for St. Bernard Project looking to rebuild their homes. All it takes is people to help one another. If anyone is interested in helping St. Bernard Project, wanting to volunteer, or looking to lend a helping hand to our rebuild crew contact me at [email protected], or message me here on our blog.

We are a group of 8 students, with a goal to return for our fourth time to New Orleans, Louisiana, rebuilding devastated homes from Hurricane Katrina.
As we approach our next rebuild trip in August we will be launching a campaign on booster. If anyone is willing to make a donation small or big, anything helps and we appreciate it! Any small donation can get us that much closer to our trip to New Orleans to help rebuild homes for the Hurricane Katrina victims that have still not returned home for 10 years now.
The Washington-Nola Crew thanks you for your time!
