However, I’m sharing it with you because it’s what it means to me. This photo is one of many that was a part of a photoshoot with no shaving, no makeup, no editing/retouching, just all natural. My natural beauty isn’t in the way I look without makeup or with body hair. The beautiful thing about it is how far I’ve come and how unafraid I am to show it off. I remember being a young girl growing body hair for the first time, and one of my best friends freaked out when she saw armpit hair, telling me to shave it. For years I never let it grow out. I also remember feeling like the ugliest person alive, hating my appearance, not even wanting to look in the mirror. I started wearing makeup to cover it up. I never let anyone see me without makeup. I even slept in my makeup because I didn’t want to wake up and see my own face without makeup. I was so insecure. I didn’t see my natural physical beauty. I’ve come such a long way since then, and that is what shows my real natural beauty. I’ve learned to love myself and the way I look. I grow body hair and I feel ATTRACTIVE. I can take all my makeup off and still feel ATTRACTIVE. It doesn’t scare me for other people to see me that way anymore. I don’t mind if they don’t like it- I’m still excited to show it off! Besides, this is how God made me!
