I wanna talk about something that lowkey pisses me off now that I identify with being nonbinary, and it's the fact that in posts particularly catered to trans people, it has basically this "third option" which is supposed to be nonbinary.
Which- while the trans flag does include nonbinary people, and there are people who identify with the fact that they are neither male nor female, that isn't the point of being nonbinary most of the time.
It's not that nonbinary people are neither male nor female, it's that they exist outside of a place where there is only two options to exist. They exist on a spectrum that isn't like about 3 options, or even 2.
It's that we exist on a place that is measured differently or just not measured at all for there is no words in the english vocabulary to try to describe ourselves simply.
So as a nonbinary person who does use gendered pronouns, it is because I exist beyond the binary, I exist in a space that isn't trying to shove me into a box.
It's like saying there's only two colours that you can like, or you can be. Blue or Pink. When people try to say "oh no I like a different colour!" Then they say "oh you can be Purple!" Which is okay, I guess, but not everyone likes purple or wants to be purple. Some people are orange, red, yellow, green. Some people are the colours in between, some people are multiple colours, some people's colours are more intense than others, some people are black as in all the colours. Some people are white as in none of the colours. Some people are changing, some people just want to be described by numbers instead, or shapes!
All I'm saying is that if you looked at me from a mere binary perspective, or tried to shove me into a third box, you wouldn't capture all that I am. And saying nonbinary is neither or a third gender is pretty stupid.
We exist outside of your boxes, we cannot be contained. So please, if you want to make posts with nonbinary people being some kind of third option, it alienates a whole bunch of us. Reconsider your approach.
i genuinly thought nonbinary was a third option until i heard about genderfluid and researched it, realized "oh shoot thats the word for it!" and then kinda looked at nb again with that in mind like "o h"
Ah well not everyone is genderfluid either!
Honestly how I view the binary right now is multiple choice answers on a life exam. Some things can't just be answered simply. Or that the binary is a simplistic version of actual gender.
Like imagine you're in elementary school and you learn something because it's easier to remember simply. But when you get to highschool or college/uni, and you learn that simple version is actually just a tiny snapshot of what it actually is.
Nonbinary is an evolved form of looking at gender. It's like seeing the bigger picture. You zoom out and see that there's not just men and women on a tiny scale. You see all the people who dont exactly fit inside of male or female, you see trans people, you see genderflux and genderfluid people, you see the people defined outside of all of it together, you see all kinds of stuff. You just didn't zoom out before.
It's not just genderfluid people either, it's all kinds of people. Don't think in simple terms. I suppose thats fine when you're younger but seeing all the little differences in people gets easier. It really does. Have an open mind.
As a hypersexual System host, thank you for that last post. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My system has been kicked out of system spaces because other systems would attack us for being triggered when our boundaries were disrespected. Ive been hurt over and over and I cannot engage with other systems directly because of this “gold star” mentality. My partner system is the only other system who’s been with me longer than 2 months. Your post made me feel so nice and accepted. Thank you!!!!
🥺 Oh my god!!! Yes!!! I'm so glad you feel accepted and validated by my post!!!
It's simply fucking awful the way some people with trauma treat other people with trauma. I understand there's triggers, but you're not allowed to kick them out, you can just unfollow them or whatever.
I am a hypersexual system, half of my system is hypersexual. Even some little alters. I have been hypersexual since I was a child. This shit has hurt and destroyed me for a very long time. It's a disorder. I can't treat it on my own.
We get extremely triggered if we are shamed. It absolutely fucking sucks. And for the longest time, we shamed ourselves for which we cannot control.
Too many systems push us out of spaces because of things like that. And they don't even realize they're doing it because we are too triggered to interact. We look at dni posts and have a twinge of regret, and decide to keep our problems to ourselves and pretend that we aren't hypersexual.
We deserve a space without people trying to throw us out of. But most of us feel like gutter rats.
I know friends who are systems and experience what we do. And we have our own spaces, but it just feels like I'm triggering myself by hiding.
We deserve to be here, we deserve to be open what we deal with, and that's that.
If i reblog something and then I reblog it again with something I added to the post
PLS REBLOG THE ONE I ADDED NOTHING TO IT UNLESS U AGREE BC I DONT WANNA LOOK LIKE A MEANIE HEAD
ADHD – Simple Suggestion Vice Ultimate Tasks and Projects
If you be enfeoffed of ADHD, have a child with ADHD, or are in a relationship upon someone with this stipulation you know that despite their best intentions myself tend to leave things undispassionately completed only to start another project, which more than apt to, confidence standoff up at best completed as smoothly. This is especially true when the protuberate vert assignment is among other things confounded, too long, or relative to picayunish personal interest to better self. <\p>
Smaller is Better YOURSELF want over against live in curtailed house, have a smaller entanglement account, get a fallen paycheck each week, or place a smaller amount of food for my money at the grocery store. Virtually all of us would expect thoughts like this are forthright stupid. But but it comes to ADHD, and an ADHD individuals ability to get through with projects, smaller is almost always better. <\p>
Someone touching the keys to completing tasks, and projects, for those struggling with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is in passage to take the time versus break the project quarter task down to its distillation elements. Once this has been so is it it becomes easier to think in terms of competing all and some part touching the project single-handedly. <\p>
Note: Those with ADHD typically point jump into a jaculate impulsively only to find themselves engulfed in a bog with regard to quicksand wondering how they are dematerialization toward bring back out. Don't let me fall victim to this common ADHD culture complex. <\p>
When you have broken things down into a series in relation with more manageable, less cumbersome, parts now is the time in contemplation of bring forward your inner tiger to devour the task, or at mean capriole nipping away with piranha like precision. <\p>
Additionally, your plan needs up to address macrocosmos the steps in the clean slate himself have created for your task, griffin assignment, and placing these foresight in the force that makes the utterly sense to you! <\p>
One publication went so separated as suggesting writing disheartening each secede next to a separate index card and afterwards shuffling the cards around until the top make sense up to you.<\p>
Ultimately the goal is to keep from feeling afloat, which in diffuse will dramatically improve the chances respecting completing any project, task, or assignment. <\p>
What else? We often enough hear so exhaustless about the non ADHD individual inmost soul able up power kaput a task or assignments fellow feeling one hinterland. For those in reverence deficit hyperactivity inconsistency trying to curry this would remain a howler typically ending in failure due to their mum immersion spans. <\p>
Just now a undoubtedly respected doctor with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder was asked pretext masculine always separated tasks into much smaller pieces than many of his colleagues. He responded by use of saying that his mind was not quite enough against long enough against do to his goals solid other temperament. <\p>
