So I am actually really excited about the non binary petition getting the required amount of signatures like idk because I'm not and I don't really know anyone irl who is (openly) non binary but joining this website has actually really opened my eyes to all these different gender identities that I didn't even know existed before and kind of made me realize that the line between male and female isn't always so clearly defined and the petition itself isn't perfect and may or may not actually work but the fact that we got so many people to sign it is something and hopefully it attracts attention so that the U.S can start moving in this direction as a country

your concerns about the nb petition are valid but you all need to take a step back and realize that nothing is going to come of it anyway and that hating on the people who signed it is pointless. like, hey, i signed it. i'm aware of the problems it has but i'm also aware that nothing is going to happen, so i don't feel guilty about signing at all, because i think getting the government to at least know we exist is worth a shot.

it is fine to have your own opinion on it but don't attack people who support it; likewise, don't attack people who are against it if you do support it
