How has your day been?

Eh. My sleep schedule’s been terrible since the lockdown started, so today I got out of bed just after 5pm. Other than that, I mainly just played some games and watched a Twitch streamer I enjoy. I really want to fix my sleeping, but hey it’s 3am right now already so I can’t imagine I’ll have much luck with that tonight.

What was the last thing that made you smile?

Me and my friend were playing Star Wars Battefront 2 (the 2017 one, it’s actually really good now), and with the new event going on where heroes only cost 400 points, we just played as Obi-Wan and Anakin the entire time and actually did pretty well. Fun as all hell.

What’s been keeping you entertained these days?

Pretty much just Star Wars The Clone Wars. Great show, and since I’ve already gotten bored with Animal Crossing there’s not much else to do. My Star Wars phase has come back for the first time in years and I really wasn’t prepared. I’ve also been coming up with a bunch of stories and characters I could write, but I haven’t gotten around to doing any of it yet. 

I’ll be honest; I can barely remember what I do these days. All the days in this lockdown are just blurring together and I can barely differentiate between what happened today, what happened yesterday and what happened last week. 

If you are in some sort of quarantine/self-isolation, is there anything you’d like to achieve in this time? 

Adding onto the story I’m writing, and getting better at some of the games I play. I really should be doing some exercise rather than just sitting in my chair and eating all day, but so far I’ve been waking up too late to have the motivation to do anything.

For some reason I’ve suddenly become attached to the idea of rewriting a bunch of the really popular but terrible Creepypastas, namely Sonic.EXE. I don’t know why I came up with this, but I’m thinking of it as a personal challenge so I feel productive.

Describe yourself as aesthetic things: IDK what “aesthetic things” means? HALP. I AM INTERNET-OLD AND I DO NOT KNOW THIS LANGUAGE. 

Uhh. I was playing Mario Kart 8 yesterday and realized that I enjoy a bit of playful aesthetic incongruity, i.e. playing as Baby Rosalina on the Bone Crusher trike, or as Roy on the Flame Rider but with a pink parasol glider. stuff like that. does that work? 

or does “describe yourself as aesthetic things” mean something more like this list: books, LEGO, loaded waffles, bow ties, a TARDIS, a snuggly blanket, and a typewriter with a tablet dock?

oh wait. does this mean a random fact about me? I have a betta fish named Ziggy Stardust. he thinks he is a dog. he also thinks he is a rock star. he is not wrong.

Languages: alas, US education and geography have left me tragically monolingual. I took a couple of years of German in college, but I can’t speak it now. I can read it a little, and understand slightly less spoken German than I can read. I do speak Academese pretty well.
