Black Sails is absolutely one of the best TV shows in terms of character development. I mean... Almost everyone ends up being a completely different person than they were at the beginning.
I started the show actually liking Eleanor and despising Charles Vane and then 10+something episodes later I'm rooting for Vane and hoping Eleanor gets her traitorous ass beaten???
Also Dufresne you dunce WHY just WHY. Boy you were a little baby scrivener what happened to youuuu :(
The only thing that did not change throughout the show was my enthusiasm to see the kinda loser philosopher man constantly doing charisma/persuasion checks and rolling a natural 20 (Jack Rackham) and his badass wife.
also I absolutely LOVE how Flint was written to look like the bad guy and a horrible captain at the beginning but you get more into his backstory and all the details and you kind of... symphatize and start to actually want him to be successful with his plan.
Also I love how we have absolutely ZERO background information on John Silver and yet he becomes who he becomes and we can only assume who he was before? Shit the writing was so good in that show.
