Thanks! I'm not sure how to say what I'm looking for, or even what I'm looking for is. I have been going through your tags. I think that maybe what I'm trying to find out is what it's like, what the ADHD community is like, the language used by the community, etc.
I think we’re a pretty fun bunch. :) We can be rather opinionated, but in general we’re pretty good-natured. (Well, here on this blog, anyway.)
Language… varies depending on the person. Some of us are disabled by ADHD, some of us aren’t. Some of us prefer to say “person with ADHD" or “person who has ADHD" and some of us prefer “ADHDer." Some of us specify type, some of us don’t. Some of us use “ADD" in our speech but write it “ADHD" (I do that).
ADHD is different for everyone. What unites us is the type of difficulties we have. There are a lot of symptoms and they can appear in pretty much any combination you can imagine. Some people can’t take medication, some people thrive on medication, some people don’t take medication because they hate it, some people can’t find a medication that helps at all. There are also different common comorbid disorders that contribute to the individuality of everyone’s experience.
Here we talk a lot about whether particular things are due to ADHD, medication side effects, ableism, and coping mechanisms. We all pitch in and offer our own experiences and advice where we can.
I don’t know if that is at all helpful to you, but please feel free to keep asking questions. The more specific the better; one thing we ADHDers tend to have trouble with is narrowing down a topic. :)

I feel like I'm invading your space by coming here, but I figured that this was one of the best places to put my question. I was hoping that perhaps any moderators or followers of this blog could help educate me on ADHD? I have tried reading about it already, but I think that I could get better knowledge from people who have first-hand experience with it.
Depending on what you want to know, have a look at some of our tags. “what it’s like" and “analogies" are really good places to start. Other than that, choose a topic and look at our tags page (which is, admittedly, incomplete) to find posts that discuss that topic. If there’s something you’re curious about that doesn’t show up or that you’re having trouble finding information about, feel free to ask. While we are primarily for ADHDers, we’ve had a few questions from non-ADHDers and as long as you word things respectfully we’re happy to help!

To the anon in post/55245004997 - I wish I could tell you that you could do something to make it all stop, but you can't. It might help to stand with him, figuratively or literally, when everyone else is on his case, but even if it doesn't, just keep being a good friend, and hope that he focuses more on the positive interactions he has than the negative ones.
Okay so my friend has ADHD and everyone in my grade is really mean to him and it annoys me but I am not very good with human interaction so I can't do anything about it so yeah....
I’m so sorry about your friend. Dealing with bullying is always difficult. It can be really hard to speak up to people when they start saying or doing mean things. Even if you just refuse to agree with the bullies, that is something.
Followers, do you have any words of encouragement for this anon? It sounds to me like they want to help their friend but really don’t know what to do.
