Naruto Rare Pair Support is a blog run by @thatshipcat and @awintersrose, designed to showcase under-appreciated rare pair art and fics, as well as inspire content creators to make works for their own favorite ships.
We plan to promote both art and fics, with a wide variety of characters and pairings. If you have content that you want to rec or promote, please feel free to tag @naruto-rare-pair-support in the post, or just DM it here!
If we do not respond right away, please DM our personal blogs in a couple days. In fact, we would be grateful! We are working professionals and sometimes need a reminder ;)
So what is a rare pair?
While this varies from person to person to fandom to fandom, for the sake of clarity we will define them as follows:
All Naruto ships with less than 350 fics on AO3.
All poly ships qualify as rare.
CONTENT RULES
No adult/child content.
Age difference fics where they are both adults is fine.
Aging up characters via time travel or a same age AU is fine.
No parent/child or siblingcest.
Intraclan ships, like FugaMiko, ObiShisui, are also fine.
No explicit content with characters depicted as underage.

CONTENT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
For everyone: Sensitive content - either violent or sexual - should be cropped (art) or put under a cut (writing). Other than that, you can format your posts however you like.
For everyone: Tag all featured ships, characters and content warnings. If you don’t know the fandom tag for a ship, use “Character 1 / Character 2″.
For n.s.f.w. artists: To adhere to Tumblr Guidelines, crop your work and place the uncensored version of your piece in a link under a cut.
An example of how you can post explicit art is provided here.
For writers: All triggers, kinks, and gore must be tagged in the body of the post, so that warnings will be preserved across reblogs.

Summary: All that interesting stuff here.
Pairing: Character 1 / Character 2
Warnings: Anything you think is sensitive content here (Ex: Body Horror, Implied Medical Kink, Dub-Con, Adult Humor, References to Maiming (past).
Your writing here: put under a read more to cut for length and content.
If the piece is longer than 1K, we will ask that you host the fic on another site, and just submit the link and an excerpt here.

PROMPT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Must be:
Four sentences or less.
Non-pairing specific.*
Ex 1: A black-thumbed Character A owns a flower shop, but kills everything they touch. Character B is an apprentice in the tattoo shop across the street regretting all their life choices.
Ex 2: “A quote from a book or show.”
While tropes are allowed and encouraged, reposting is not.
Do not submit prompts that are not yours and are not public domain.
After some debate, we have decided to make most prompts universal so that more people can participate. However we will still occasionally spotlight ultra, ultra-rare ships. Mods reserve the right to ask for and post pairing-specific prompts on audience request.*
