Idk abt the rest of Canada, so Toronto could be an outlier, but I've seen washing machines in kitchens, washrooms, closets, basements, garages, and, once, a living room.

am currently in Paris looking at inward-opening windows; same at my school. both are Haussmann-era & have shutters on the outside wh might have something to do with it ?

i'm croatian and our windows open in as well! i also live in a part of the croatian mainland that is both very cold and very hot in the summer so our full brick walls are at least 40cm thick (60-100cm for older houses) to keep the weather out!
