Slight resentment
I have to admit, sometimes I resent being called a 'volunteer'.
I feel like this makes me sound like I am giving up my precious time to do a favour for others.
I see officiating as a Job (an unpaid job but a job all the same.)
I say I 'work' a bout, that i'm just doing my 'job' and that with all the time it takes up, that I do a double shift if coming after work.
I'm not sure how others feel, but this is my opinion.
