I went to Disneyland yesterday, and they led me to a free parking spot. Exclusively. Mod Vaan was also in the car. I still didn't go to the park our of principle, but they knew who I was by my car and just led me to a spot all for free. They knew about the furbait brand and they let me see some exclusive concept art to approve for the next feature film to be released in 2030. Since I refused to leave the parking lot, they showed me the file at my car, because I can control a multi-billion-dollar company's artistic decisions
Gotta say for my own silly sake, it's fascinating to parade around on the "you are your profile picture" site as Nick Wilde, while actively not endorsing Zootopia 2. But Hazel, it's furbait movie, two! And of course Nick Wilde is like prototypical furbait for new furries, but you see, I only chose Nick, because that was the first thing anyone submitted. I don't think Zootopia's an exceptional look into anthropomorphism as allegory. I do, however, think it's a great use of commercial success in order to closer draw a community of anthropomorphic character designs. I mean to look at how designs were in the 80s to late 90s, we see Spielberg animation-inspired designs in the fandom, then more sonic-inspired, later, transforming briefly to MLP-inspired, then to a culturally Disney-esque revival as the community became less insular, and more widely popular. So while Nick Wilde is truly emblematic of the current popular design of furries, I still don't think supporting one of the most power-hungry and wealthy companies on the planet is the move.
