I am not brave. I have zero sense of self-preservation. This was made abundantly clear to me today when I waded in the middle of a shouting match about to turn into a fight today outside my classroom. Fists were raised, faces were red, and I walked right between them and shooed kids to class. Which is hilarious, given that everyone involved had at least foot on me. But also....WHAT WAS I THINKING? See, zero self-preservation.

P.S. Do not try at home. This is literally the opposite thing they teach you in all education classes to do. I’m a great listener, obviously.

Honestly, I was thinking about how to reply to these comments and I still don’t know what to say. This is the first anyone has every said that about my eyes. They usually say they look cold or scary (sometimes even murderous), so this really came as a surprise to me.  Thank you guys, this means a lot ❤️
