Pffffffff.
[And a bacon cheeseburger. Mmm, that's a tasty burger. Back in 2007, one of the first places we shot Triple-D here in Saint Paul, Minnesota, was at the Nook. You remember?]
Some Tommy-centric headcanons while I'm on the bus:
Constantly feels stuck in his brother's shadow. Despite being stellar at customer service, ever being helpful, he believes that Timmy is the true businessman. Timmy, of course, shines inadvertantly - he's just so used to taking charge when his brother needs help that it's second nature now.
This is why Tommy doesn't talk as much when his brother is around.
Nook is aware of this, and has tried time and time again to help boost Tommy's confidence & praise his accomplishments more (because he believes that Tommy is skilled in his sector like Timmy is his own), but Tommy still feels inferior.
Tommy hasn't talked to Timmy about any of this, thinking the issue benign, and that lack of communication just makes everything worse.
Tommy is always as helpful as he can be, but all this insecurity / low self esteem means that he'll go above and beyond for people, even if they don't deserve it.
Tommy is actually a great fisherman! He's caught his fair share of Oarfish and even Sharks, and if there's anyone that knows more about fish out of the twins, it's him.
Where Timmy knows a bunch about technology, hardware details and parts included, Tommy just knows the basics. He's not a huge technology nerd.
Dick Man turned Space Man is an appropriate tag line for yours truly. I live somewhere in California with the worldâs angriest hobbit (but he is a really good kisser) and seven members of the canine species. Donât worry, theyâve had their shots... Canât say the same about the hobbit, though. Other than that and things about certain bands, I am a sucker for chats involving cars/motorcycles, conspiracy theories, and recipes. Hell, like the true Home Depot/Loweâs Dad I am, Iâm also easily fascinated by home improvement ideas. If you need something fixed, hit me up. I donât know what to do with myself on days off anymore. gh@deschlonge Bonus! I asked the boyfriend to write my intro for me and this is what I got: "Hello, my name is Tom Delonge and I was in a band that talked about sex and weird shit but now I'm in one that's about weird shit and aliens. As you can see, I grew up (no I didn't), left my pervertedness behind (no I didn't) and bettered myself (debateable). I'm with the raddest dude on earth, Frank Iero, and I'm under obligation to buy him all the dogs he wants. I'm Too Damn Tall and Clumsy AF but lovable so please be my friend (I'm desperate).â
me, who writes both nook and scrooge: theyâre billionaire friends and you can pry this from my cold dead hands
If you were a character, how would the audience percieve you?
topic of argument
well. youâre a very complex character and you probably have at least one mental illness ( or trauma ) which may just make you a little mean sometimes; rather it be accidental or not. this means that you have certain fans that absolutely adore you more than anything and constantly talk about how complex you are and you developed you become over the course of your story .... while others, mostly locals, have really no comprehension on your struggles and probably view you surface level which means their opinions arenât the nicest. donât worry though, people on stan twt probably argue with them constantly about how complex and realistic your character actually is.
@florcntissimaeâ SAID: â Â believe me , Â when youâre happy , Â iâm happy . Â â - isabelle to nook :D
animal crossing starters // accepting.
â ...hm? â
The tanuki regards her with surprise, blinking at such words. He was never entirely sure how to handle Isabelle's energy sometimes -- so positive and thoughtful in the face of a cruel world ( SOMETHING HEâS ALWAYS BEEN TOO USED TO ) -- but he supposes that's why he appreciates it so much. To have all that spirit in spite of being surrounded by so much pessimism... it's an achievement. And he knows first hand that it's hard. Smiling, he looks to the horizon.
â Hm. Well, it's hard not to be happy when youâre here. Your happiness is infectious, though that's hardly a bad thing. â He idly swirls his coffee mug, then pauses in thought. Â â ...Thank you for all your hard work, Isabelle. The island wouldn't be the same without you. Â â
