I didn’t want to say anything about the reboot. I was skeptical whether they could do it without Whedon.
But 4 female showrunners? I don’t even care right now.
That’s incredible! I’ll put my full backing behind it even if it doesn’t even resemble anything like Buffy (it will) because the opportunities with this venture are insane.
You know that regardless of what it is, the only thing I care about is women-led and WLW representation.
So I don’t even care. I know it’s going to be worth it.
Ya’ll really should be rallying behind this initiative. If Sarah feels that strongly about it and there’s 4 female creators on-board for running it. That’s a huge deal.
That’s what we want, is it not? A truly w-led “Buffy”without all the Whedonism bullshit attached on to it.
I mean how are we ever supposed to experience women do something action/fantasy/supernatural if we don’t give them the actual opportunity to prove themselves?
How do we get more women in the writers room and behind every single aspect of the production process?
Enough wishing, start rallying! Start supporting them!
Opportunities like this don’t come around often guys.
I honestly can’t think of anything in the action/fantasy/supernatural genre that had 4 female creators that wanted to actually RUN the show. Not even Xena.
They’re all women, so what’s the problem? Why aren’t we ecstatic about this? This is all I’ve ever wanted!

Poker Face (prods. Nora & Lilla Zuckerman).
[Rian] Johnson’s first foray into episodic television is a fun one. Poker Face works so well as a disposable but highly enjoyable crime series because it understands every element of its genre fare and sets up and picks its pieces apart with such cinematic flair. [Natasha] Lyonne delivers an amusing performance as a reluctant gumshoe and human lie detector machine. Each episode leaves you primed for next week’s entry.
finally started watching poker face and omg i am absolutely OBSESSED with charlie cale <3
