I don’t really do this much anymore... even my graphic novel work is fairly clean and linear despite the exaggeration. These dramatic sorts of out-of-my-head scenes dont occupy my mind like they used to... I filled sketchbooks full of them when I was a student. Drawing without reference opens many doors of opportunity for both innovation and failure! This started as a prep concept sketch for a new painting... but I sort of left the overriding principal of the thing behind and ran away with the bit still in my mouth...
