I liked Roze of the Recapture but my God it should've been twice as long.

Norland as an antagonist with virtually no development aside from being "cloned masked dickhead du jour who hates humanity and somehow got the resources together to create a legion of killer robot woodchippers and a mecha that looks like an overdesigned chess piece" really left a weak last impression.

Ash Phoenix being like "cast a geass on me so we can fight better" is just Lelouch ordering Suzaku to live but toothless and in the 11th hour. It's wearing the original series like a plug suit lmao
