Topa Topa North Bound Hazy IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Featuring an atypical mix of hops from Slovenia, this is quite interesting. Lots of light fruit, white wine, other stone fruit, and a touch of earthiness in the background. A soft, slightly creamy body. Not an aggressive amount of bitterness in the body, but just a touch of dryness on the finish. Quite interesting and tasty.
The sunset going over the Zilwaukee last night feels like summer is right around the corner💛🧡
North Bound on 85
I’m a commuter now - Live north of the city, Work south of the city, Spend at least 2 hours in the car on an average work day (usually more like 3). And it’s easy to hate it - The monotony, The wasted time, The added 30 minutes due to traffic. And I hate it some days. I do.
Still, the city is beautiful from every single angle And my favorite is north bound on 85 in the middle of the night. The way the lights shine - Sometimes I tear up because I can hear the Atlanta skyline telling me “You made it.”
I made it. I’m not in Utah working at Baskin Robbins, I’m not in Iowa working at Goodwill (and those were both fine jobs and I’m not better than those jobs), But I made it. Made it to a place where my dreams are even feasible, Made it to a place where my bank account is empty and my heart is full. So yes, some days I hate it, Wish I could drive 7 minutes down Harrison to work and call it a day, But most days?
Most days I see with the eyes of a child - I notice a new rose on every drive. And most nights I ponder The way trees look in headlights like they’re not even real, But I know they’re alive. And most nights I head north bound on 85 And the bridges tell me, “You made it,” And exit 251 says, “You’re almost home,” And I won’t ever take it for granted That I can look up past the forests And hear the stars whisper, “You will never be alone.”
Oh my gooood packing and loading the truck is almost done. I'm so excited to get out of this godforsaken alligator ass backward state. 😤😮💨😩
Off to Edinburgh!
I'm gonna walk a lot, discover a lot and I won't let my anxiety ruins these holidays. At least I will try.
