For Those Unaware About the Situation in North Texas

Last night a group of Christians that promotes the "Ceasing of the Islamization of America", they call themselves the ‘American Freedom Defence Initiative’ and are a recognized hate group, held a ‘Muhammad drawing contest’ in which they were to draw pictures of Muhammad without a veil full-face, which is VERY disrespectful to Islam, and the “best” would be rewarded $10,000. They were most likely anticipating a negative reaction of the local Islam community, so several police troops were already stationed there (at the Curtis Culwell Center)- “There was a heavy police presence all afternoon outside of the center. Organizers spent nearly $10,000 on extra security for the event, police said.”- (nbcdfw,  Monday, May 4, 2015)  So 2 Muslim men, claiming to be apart of Isis, planned to enter the building at the end to the meeting and shoot everyone as they were leaving. They started to open fire on an unarmed security officer from the Garland Independent School District before they entered and they were at that point intercepted and shot dead. At the same time there were several bomb threats (at walmart, etc.) and I-90 was closed off. All AP testing scheduled for today was rescheduled, all AP testing will go on tommorrow as planned, Naaman Forest High School was still open.
