my too woke opinion is that half of the jokes people make about british people are actually just classism. like the teeth.... yeah..... its not rocket science.... people who cant afford to live also can't afford dental care. this is very common in america too, i fear.
beans on toast. people can't afford to eat! there is a massive cost of living crisis and there has been for years! a quarter of british children are growing up in food insecure households!! but tell me again how funny you think the food that poor people have no choice but to live on is.
the royals aren't eating beans on toast. they live in luxury, while their people (across the whole country, but especially northerners) starve. they starve and freeze to death in their homes because the government doesn't fucking care about us! don't even get me started on the way covid disproportionately impacted the north and the way nobody cares about it at all.
also on the topic of the north i also really fucking hate people making fun of northerners accents. its always got this weird privileged undertone of 'look at these uncivilised poor people don't they talk funny'. or they mock the way the cities in the north look. no non northerners are allowed to call the north a shithole because you all get so weird about it.
