Your brain is a prediction model:
1);you experience something.
2) it gets stored as memory.
3) The brain will pull from that memory to predict an outcome in the correct context.
In context:
You try a manifestation technique and it works.
it gets stored as a memory.
Your assumption onwards is that "This technique works".
Great but Neville taught to CHANGE assumptions.
And how did he teach it? Exactly how science teaches it: consistent, low dose pattern interruption. Your brain updates best in frequency over intensity.
Neville taught this himself in one of his lectures: every hour, return to the state. (Through visualisation)
Updating your brains prediction model
Your brain updates best based on small, repeated error signals.
rampaging 15 minutes a day is less effective than 1 affirmation an hour even if it technically means you get less affs in. Why? Because Option A interrupts ONCE, the rest of the day you are on the old model. Option B consistently interrupts it.
Why visualising works
The brain can't tell apart memory vs imagination.
meaning: the brain can form assumptions from imagination just like memory.
feel it real=most people get this wrong
Feel it real=feel it familiar. Thats what Neville meant. The idea that its so natural you simply act as if/embody. (Living in the end)
Prediction model updates on exposure, not emotional intensity. The brain doesn't need intensity to learn. But it does need frequency to memorise
prediction conflict: If you try to feel (gaslight yourself as) hot while you're brain is going "I'm ugly", this creates a mismatch. Your brain responds by HEIGHTENING self-awareness to "ugly" parts of yourself to overcome this mismatch and validate itself. Thats why people spiral.
Great. We have half the puzzle.
Visualise every few hours a day.
No need to "feel it real". Everyone rushes it when its meant to come NATURALLY. It might even feel uncomfortable initially.
In fact, I'd argue that if your visualisations feel flat/underwhelming, GOOD. It means the novelty has worn off, you're brain is starting to get used to the concept and it no longer feels like a far fetched fantasy, its starting to feel a bit more normal. But obviously- if you feel something, embrace it. Go off. It means you are immersed enough for your brain to snapshot the details vividly.
Half of you spiral because you are trying to overriding biology. Neville didn't teach that. He never said, "force happiness forever". He simply said to tap into the state frequently and eventually you'll feel it real enough to be living in the end.
And the other half of the puzzle?
Imagine this: Have you ever affirmed "I am -" and within 2 seconds, your brain fired back an automatic response "No you're not"? Some people try and supress it. Some people try and argue with it. Guess what- the most powerful answer? Do NOTHING.
Doubt=a prediction
Predictions are generated automatically. It isn't an alarm something isn't working. Its detection on something thats happened in the past.
supression doesn't work: the brain treats that as feedback and activates its threat system because youve given it emotional charge. You're basically telling it: doubt means something so we gotta keep it down and its basically going: got it. This most be important then. Keep tabs.
And how to stop it?
"notice it, let it happen, let it pass" protocal: you stop feeding it. The prediction loses fuel eventually. Prediction dies off.
It is a neuropathway after all. And neuropathways thrive on activation. But a neuropathway won't activate itself if it gets no interaction. Oh and the brain disassembles it when its "useless" enough because its no longer being activated enough so it weakens.
This correlates with Neville's words: the old state dies of disuse.
So yes. Let it happen. Let it have its final moments. Whatever you do though, DON'T ARGUE WITH IT. DON'T COUNTER AFFIRM IT.
Put it all together
Visualise a few times a day. Can be morning, afternoon, night. Or every few hours.
No conditions, except POV. Let the brain get uncomfy. Let the thoughts go "What? No way, this isn't real." Let it OBSSESS over every detail on how this is "unrealistic".
Go about the rest of your day as NORMAL.
Let the doubt come. Let it happen and let it pass. Notice it, but don't take action against it. It will go itself.
And your progress?
You start tapping into the state more frequently, NATURALLY.
The visualisations will start feeling familiar, maybe normal. Your brain is starting to feel it REAL, feeling it FAMILIAR.
With enough exposure, your brain stores it as a memory. Then? You NATURALLY and SIMPLY live in the end.
And the outcome?
After all that work, give yourself a pat on the back. Your desire is yours.
Good job, wrap it up everyone. No need to wonder "Am I doing this right" anymore. No need for "How to stop spiralling" and for goodness sake please delete that "does manifestation work?" Draft post because what I just described, is Neville's ways of manifestation with a scientifically backed expanation.

How to shift: EMBODY YOUR DR SELF!! ☀️
Fuck the five senses
Most of us always focus on the process of shifting, the symptoms, the 5 senses, overanalyze our process and being very critical of ourselves, we try to analyze why we don't shift, giving ourselves excuses and explanations Saying "I didn't do enough", "I should have tried harder" I wish you guys to STOP THAT.
Actually, none of the above matters. The reason you think the methods, meditation, etc matters it's because of your assumptions and beliefs because you didn't get there and you think "you're doing something wrong" and you ARE NOT, leave that mentality behind and stop seeing shifting as a task or obligation, as something with steps that must be followed to the letter.
Stop and get back to BASICS, When you are trying to get to your DR, stop thinking and focus on "I have to get there" just think that YOU ARE THERE, think ABOUT YOU, about your dr self, who are you in your dr? This is why it is very important that you like your dr's self, and not just an "improved 2.0 me, now with ultra-powered engines" because it just makes you feel uncomfortable, and you need to feel comfortable with being your dr self, You must like being yourself, you must know yourself, dive into your brain and connect with your dr self and with who you're there.
And when you connect with who you are there, forget about everything else, forget how many breaths you have to take, what number you are on, or if you visualize enough, just connect with you, with who you are. By connecting with your 5 senses and with the environment, you are not traveling, I mean this is okay but when you're trying to shift, the shift it's in the mindset, not in the around, it happens in your subconscious, it happens when you become that person, you are becoming your dr self not your environment, WHO ARE YOU? Connect with that person. Start with "Who am I?" "What am I doing here?" "What is my name?" Until it becomes a natural flow, connect with your thoughts until it becomes a natural flow. You did it, you've shifted, when you are fully connected to your dr self and you no longer need to think like your dr self thinks, you are there, and nothing else matters, fuck if "your environment tells you otherwise", It doesn't matter what you see, hear or feel anymore, you are in your dr and you are your dr's person. You know that you're there because of your mindset, enjoy that because that is shifting, that is change, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE, this is manifesting, and manifestation happens instantly when you change your mindset.
The process of shifting doesn't have to take a long time, it doesn't have to take years, the only reason it takes you so long is because you see it as homework. Get out of that mindset, connect with yourself, change your mindset, delate everything else, stop making everything so difficult. "I didn't shift last night because-" STOP, there's no reason you haven't shifted. We shift in every decision we make, when you go to bed YOU HAVE ALREADY SHIFTED, but you are not going to accept it and you MUST accept it.
Why you should embody your dr self (good for lazy shifters):
You should try to connect with your dr self instead of using the five senses or connecting with your dr it's because:
1. It's a bit backwards to try to connect with your surroundings instead of yourself. As I said before, you are not shifting to be your environment, you are shifting to be you, to be your dr self. (Although I'm not saying that using all 5 senses is a bad thing, but you shouldn't focus only on that)
2. Embodying your dr self bypasses all the extra shit about you just lying in your bed trying to shift. The moment you connect with your dr's self, you have already shifted, because if you were not in your dr you would not be able to access the thoughts of your dr self. And when you are focused on this, you are no longer focused on the symptoms and that is the best thing that can happen to you because YOU SHOULDN'T FOCUS ON THE SYMPTOMS because it's not a physical process, physical change comes after the change of mentality. Connecting with your dr self's thoughts is much better than memorizing affirmations and meditating, it's more natural, you enjoy it more and it's less tiring.
3. In the case that your physical environment does not end up changing, you end up connecting with your dr self (THAT IS SO IMPORTANT) you alredy had the mindset shift. And many people when they start doing all this, they start having dreams about themselves being their dr self, and having experiences in their dreams being their dr self, and that is SO GOOD (it's literally happening to me) Taking this post into account, I assure you that YOU WILL SEE CHANGES YES OR YES this is a connecting point.

Please don't be worried if you haven't shifted yet.
If you had no symptoms, if you never minishifted, if you never felt even slightly different.
I'm going to tell you the ultimate key to shifting: yourself. Whatever that means to you. You knew this would be the answer if you already studied shifting for long enough, you know there's not anything universal on how one can shift.
But you are the only person that can know how to “start” your shifting journey, how to “shift for the first time”. You are the one who chooses when it starts, no matter how complicated it sounds.
My biggest advice is to stop looking.
This is mainly if you're working on LOA, but it counts for other things as well.
The more you look for a reason why you "haven't shifted yet" and what you "went wrong on", the more you let yourself accept you even did something wrong in the first place, but you didn't! You can't even do that to start with?!
Shifting isn't cooking. It's more like (it literally is) existing. You can't exist wrong, no matter the opinions of others, because as long as you exist, you are existing, you have existence, even if someone arguments that for reason "a" or "b" or "c" you don't exist, if they can ever argument it is because you do exist, imaginative or "physical".
The moment you accept you can't make any mistakes, relax and think a lot about shifting, you're going to make far more "progress" than by forcing yourself into a million methods you hate and watching content telling you why shifting only works to certain people. Not only is this content fake, it's harmful, because it induces you to believe misinformation, hate or even dread shifting, and why would you ever do anything you hate/dread?
You want to do methods because they're cool with you? Perfect. You will shift.
You don't want to do methods because you dislike them? Perfect, you will shift.
You have your doubts about shifting and you can't be bothered to "reset your mindset"? Perfect, you will shift.
You spend hours and hours starting a new mindset because you feel like you can't shift without doing that? Perfect, you will shift.
You'll do nothing and just wait until the day you're in MHA swinging a giant sword on mineta because he bothered you? Perfect, you will shift.
Whatever clicks for you, fits you, makes you comfortable or even just makes you laugh for two whole minutes thinking about doing, be it because you think it's funny or because it's a weird method you really wanna try, whatever you want to do, whatever you desire to do, or even if you don't desire to do anything, will make you shift.
So instead of looking up how to shift, lay down and think about how you want to try, if you even do, and relax, it won't take long, and soon you're going to feel immortality. You ARE a master shifter.

btw I don't have anything against people joining shiftblr, it's just that I'm afraid shiftblr might start to become like shiftok where everything is so "restricted?" Like you can't share anything anymore because people there seem to be so "limited?". People there are like oh why didn't you script this out, why did you script this in, why are you shifting for this person, why are you shifting to that dr. It seemed like you had to have a perfect dr, like shiftblr was like my safe space from the toxicity of shiftok, everybody is so open minded here on shiftblr.
