I just realised Northlake Security - the fictional private military security firm that gave Charlie the ZIP cocktail back in 1x12 - is referenced again in 2x14, since one of the conspirators in the 'let's start a lithium-motivated war' worked for them, and also in 2x15 (as part of Roman's cover identity's background).

It would have made way more sense for Madeline to have hired Northlake in season 5 than the Dabbur Zann. Just saying. Northlake had their fingers in many corrupt pies, and they could have profited from the chaos the ZIP bomb plan would have created, especially if Madeline was VP and steering government policy towards Northlake interests. Whereas the Dabbur Zann were kind of motiveless, besides wanting to cause fear and instability.

Or maybe they could have had the Dabbur Zann and Northlake working together - money and chaos as double motives.

I have no idea why I'm making this post - I just thought it was interesting.
