“Lady, give me the strongest coffee that you got.” Nobelium could barely walk back home from work after the hell shift her boss made her take. If a coffee give her the boost she needed, then so be it.
She couldn’t stop thinking about pancakes. Oh God, the pancakes. If she closed her eyes, all she would see were numbers or fried eggs with a side of bacon. Pulling out a random amount of money out of her jacket pocket, she slammed it on the counter. “I haven’t slept in the past 24 hours, so make it a really good one.”

Cloud didn’t frequent cafes. It wasn’t that he had anything against them. He delivered goods to them more often than not. It just wasn’t something he thought about most of the time.
But he’d heard that the hot chocolate here was pretty good. So here he was. And he was pleasantly surprised to see it rather empty. Glancing around, he walked up to the counter.
“Uh....’Scuse me?”

Miho-chan was the outgoing one, and Kaede was definitely sure her friend would have loved to be here. Her older sister probably would have loved the chance to take the night off and enjoy herself. Truthfully, Kaede was having fun--but she couldn’t help the wave of homesickness that washed over her as she watched so many people she didn’t know enjoy themselves.
Feeling her chest tighten, she stepped back from the ball, forcing herself to take deep breaths as she shut her eyes. She didn’t need to think of that right now. It wouldn’t be right for her to get sad, to ruin this carefully planned event for the well-being of all the citizens of the city. But even so..
She tensed when she heard footsteps, swallowing the lump in her throat as she hurriedly rubbed at her face. Putting a bright smile on her face, she turned to the approaching stranger.
“It’s a wonderful night, isn’t it?”

In this environment, it was perhaps impossible to have the noise and the overlapping conversations not go unnoticed. The sound of the other baristas and the customers mingling in talk is only juxtaposed with the sounds of sheeping ‘baaing’ in the distance. This was a truly bizarre setting that the teen found himself in. His mind had been mulling over how he found himself involved in this situation. As far as he could recall, it had only been about a few weeks since he took hold the operations of the mafia group known as Passione. Now, he finds himself awakening in a city that doesn’t resemble anything like Italy. Yet, the general architect that made the city didn’t seem so alien. It felt rooted in his own time. With the exception of the aforementioned sheep roaming around the city. This place had it’s share of mysteries, but for now, Giorno needed to pace himself and get his funds up to an optimal range before setting up a base within Stella City. Fortunately for him, never did he have more of advantageous position than his age being a good enough disguise as to not portray him in the future project. “I shall be with you in a moment, signorina!” Acknowledging the next customer that approached the counter table. Giorno had found himself a simple job as a Barista at one of the prominent cafe’s and it took him no time to solidify his radiating charm among some of the female patrons. Which worked in his favor to provide them quite enticing experience. Part of him was bemused by it all, he kept that thought to himself. He turned to face one of the fellow barista working alongside him. A woman who carried her with much enthusiasm, with an smile that seemed to that even the most thawed frowns of the patrons. He figure he could spare some chit chit while micro managing everything else. “Hey, Nelliel. We are the home stretch. Do you have any plans after our shift is over?” He inquired, only to have his attention focused back on the young lady that was requesting her order. He engaged in some pleasant idle chat with his customer to keep them entertained while jotting down their request.

───────── ⊰ 🔱 ⊱ ─ 𝔗𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢 were many things that differed from her own world and while some would be nervous, she was more intrigued by what the place had to offer and what the others spirited away here had as well. If anything, she’s keen on learning as much as she can with the pleasant side effect of learning where she is and why she is here. There’s a cafe that grabs her attention and she decides to see what there is, approaching the barista with a smile.
“I am unsure how drastically the items in others worlds differ from the ones here. Would you perhaps have any recommendations for me? I would greatly appreciate it.”
