Dear Photograph, As far back as I can remember, from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend, we spent many summer days at this pool (Penn Valley Athletic Club). I never thought I would be raising my kids in the same area where I grew up, but I am. How fortunate I am to get to re-live these childhood memories, and how fortunate my children are to be forming their own memories of summer fun at the pool! Kate
I am missing my people. I need someone to work out & be healthy with. I need someone to analyze lyrics and literature with. I need someone to get high & laugh in a parking lot for 20 minutes straight with. I need someone to sleep next to me while I study late. I need someone get ridiculously wine drunk & pretend to do homework with. I need my people.
Am I the only one extremely obsessing over the marathon of Power Rangers crossovers or am I just really weird? these episodes are the basis for my love of crossovers and Power Rangers are my primary definition of heroes.
Merci papa. Geneviève
Dear Photograph,
I would spend time listening to stories of her youth, the family diaspora from this house and moments of silence. such as this, hearing her supplicate.
Dadima was unostentatious, patient and indomitable. She taught me to be all of these things.
The house isn't the same since she left. There is decay and emptiness. It is as if the house died with her.
I am sorry I never made it back in time to keep my promise.
I am sorry I never got to say goodbye.
I am sorry you didn't hear what you mean for me.
When I finally came back all I could do was cry.
I sat in that chair and cried.
I stood in the veranda and cried.
I stood over her grave and cried.
I miss you.
Your grandson,
M
