A sudden typhoon this morning. My school was cancelled but many others still had school today.

It wasnt Absolute Storm, but the intense rain and strong winds did cause some trouble in Nagasaki and Kumamoto. It lost a lot of strength coming over the mountains. Enjoy this awful video. The rains were really bad but the wind wasnt as bad as the typhoon shortly after i arrived 2 years ago.

I love Lewis Capaldi, don’t get me wrong. He’s an angel and I’d actively die for him. But could you imagine if a woman looked like that? Acted like that? She wouldn’t have a number one album, she wouldn’t be selling-out shows. She would be ostracised from society. Her every move would be scrutinised. Magazines would be talking about the shape of her face, her eyes, telling her to get surgery, lose weight.

And that pisses me off. Women have to be perfect and pure to appear in the media - unless an example is being made of them - and men can be as human, imperfect and relatable as they wish (ultimately). This double standard shouldn’t exist.
