Ok not a ask, but imagine with me for a sec. what if Opal and Kabu used to be bff’s when they were young? Like probably around 5-6, then Kabu went to Hoenn, then after awhile, came back, became a gym leader, but then they had to meetup at a gym leader meeting, and realized their childhood friend was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. No one has seen opal run so fast lmao—

But seriously, this is such a cute idea, and I would absolutely love to see how an Opal and Kabu dynamic would work. Like — they’re respectable adults one moment, gossiping little teenagers in the next.
