#milo appreciation

I saw something about the David/Asher/Milo dynamic with how Milo is always third wheel even when they're a trio so I wanted to add my own head canon!

Milo, David and Asher were always close but when it came down to duos, Darlin' and Milo were close.

Close in the quiet way, in the proximity way.

Milos mom was a healer which helped, since Darlin' was always getting into trouble, and Milo was around because David and Asher were usually off doing their own thing.

They were never super emotionally close but as things got worse for both of them (I hc that Darlin' didn't really have a perfect home life either, especially after the first move), they began to confide in each other.

Darlin' never made fun of Milo, especially not for his size. They had older siblings (hc!) and mostly hung out with older people (vampires) so they knew what it felt like to be picked on and didn't want Milo to feel like that.

Where they ignored David's texts, they updated Milo semi regularly when they went to Washington. Not about the hunt for Quinn, but little stuff like, "me and Dad went bird watching today, saw some cool birds".

They bonded in small ways, but ways that mattered when they were younger. No one ever really caught on to how close they really were but if you couldn't find Darlin' after a fight, they were probably crashing on Milo's couch.

Idk i know it's more implied that Asher and Darlin' were closer but I also feel like Milo goes so under appreciated and we've seen almost nothing of Darlin' and Milo interacting so I thought it'd be cool if they were those kinda friends that you just sit quietly with or go on scenic drives with for fun.

Also just in general we don't really know what Darlin' and the other pack members were like when they all met as teens so I like to imagine cute stuff bc lord knows Erik produces enough angst without our help.
