Look, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a legit Good Show. It was seminal. It was groundbreaking. It is also very limited as a product of it's time. It also has some bad elements to it. But overall it is a Good Show, and is generally recognized as such. It is not terrible-but-also-good. It is Good, and sometimes it's a shame that there's this or that terrible thing about it, but it's Good. We can all hate Joss Whedon, and he deserves to be hated, but that doesn't change the fact that Buffy was one of the best shows of the late 90s/early 2000s.

Anyways, that post that's going around saying that Buffy is good, bad, terrible, but good, comes off like it's trying to make Buffy sound like Supernatural. Whoever wrote that post doesn't understand. Buffy had consistent themes and character development and mythology and was generally coherent. It was sexist but also it was a reflection of the times and was progressive in a very limited and narrow way. Like, it's objectively untrue to say that Buffy is bad. By all means criticize the things about it that are bad, but it's by no means a bad show.
