When you ask adult Dio what he thinks about his mother, he would say nothing. Just a pest. But to be honest, you would have to say he HATES her with whole heart. Though it isn’t wicked or twisted hatred he has a lot in his heart - it’s hatred born out of the purest love.
Dio loved his mother deeply as she was the only person who gave him warmth in life.
Dio grew to HATE his mother because she refused to change their situation. She allowed Daario to bully him and her, she never left. She only spoke of damned HEAVEN, that Dio has to endure all of this suffering to achieve Heaven. How somebody who claims to love you can promise you a release of this pain only after death? Dio rejected that vision yet not completely.
She spoke of Christian vision of Heaven. Because of what Dio endured during his life, he couldn’t see it that way. From the moment his mother died, Dio Brando dreamt of only one thing - to achieve the Heaven she promised him.
