thinking about simon and ryland bonding over the makeshift vegetation planted, something ryland started doing out of sheer boredom. most of them were just the seeds ryland had picked from his food.
ryland who had scribbled the different plant names onto pieces of paper, some scientific names and some just their grocery store label.
something something.. simon and ryland have a new joint hobby and it’s gardening :)) his favorite thing to do is take seeds from old vegetables or fruits and plant them, see how they grow.
simon who gets another shot at life and instead of being the butcher, the convict..
he’s just a gardener, tending to life with the person who gave him another chance.
