@never-obsolete
my brain runs like a shitty budget laptop
mischievouscourtfae replied to your post:HAPPY BIRTHDAY! {{ am I late or on time? }}
^^ I’m glad you had a good one! also this is Spider/Sam cuz I realized I’m on a different blog rn
Yeah it was a nice day! OH HI FRIEND! I DIDN’T RECOGNIZE YOU! okay cool, gotta remember who has which blogs. I am bad at this.
Und das nehme ich zurück. :)
So many pics of OneRepublic..
Me: I have not a space on my mobile.
Mom: Just delete some old pics of OneRepublic. I think that 1000 are so much.
Me: Okay, I will try it. *deleting some pics*
Mom: It is better?
Me: Yeah. I have 995 pictures right now.
BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS
I was tagged by a couple of lovely people, and am finally getting around to doing this!
Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag [ten] friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them.
1. At Swim, Two Boys by Jamie O'Neill - always. Forever.
2. Harry Potter - same, tbh
3. The Diary of Anne Frank - changed my whole worldview at ten years old.
4. Frida Vigdorova's The Road to Life trilogy (never translated to English, which is one of life's greatest tragedies, tbh)
5. Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon - I picked it up because the cover spoke to me; it turned out to be about a boy who picks up a book because the cover speaks to him, and changes the course of his life.
6. Vintner's Luck by Elizabeth Knox - don't ever watch the film; read the book. It's incredible.
7. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - amazing writing, characters, commentary. Just beautiful. I'm still in a fog from it.
8. The Road Goes Off into the Distance by Alexandra Brushtein - also never translated, which is sad. It's a family thing; we've all read it. We've all loved it.
9. CAPTIVE PRINCE by C. S. Pacat - YEAH I SAID IT. YEAH. I DID. IT'S FUCKING AMAZING. I KEEP TRYING TO WILL THE THIRD BOOK INTO EXISTENCE WITH THE POWERS OF MY MIND BUT IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET; I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED
10. Bridget Jones's Diary + Bridget Jones: the Edge of Reason by Helen Fielding - I don't care, I think those books are fabulous. They're hilarious and poignant and smart and sad and while I DID enjoy Mad About the Boy, it just wasn't as perfect as the first two. I reread them on a fairly regular basis, they're like balm for the soul.
