Today's manuscript isn't medieval - it was made in the early 20th century, in Ethiopia. The text is Account of Creation by the Trinity (Zena nagaromu), followed by hymns. The illustrations were added later, painted over text. The language is Ethiopic, written in räqiq script (UPenn LJS 102)

Just finished Little Hope and this is my singular thought

Folks, I'm gonna be taking a bit of a sabbatical.

I had covid and the flu at Christmas, and while my recovery from the worst of it was pretty rapid there have been other things going on in my life and I'm just pretty depleted at this point.

Gonna step back and recharge a bit.
