Oh an whilst I'm here, life update: I graduated last month! First class BA Hons in Technical Theatre (production and design) 😎 Mischief has been such a big part of my journey, I'm so thrilled to have reached this point. I thought I'd have more time to come back here and share things more regularly but I've been working constantly since I finished uni! :( working across 4 venues keeps you busy apparently hehe I hope if nothing else I can fill the gaps in mischief tech posting since I am so passionate about it all <3
Tristan is extremely interested in rattley pill bottles, but has learned to be very very good about just watching me open/close them (and he touches the rack they're kept on, from time to time, but doesn't try to take anything).
So about a month ago I started giving them to him when they are empty. I watch him carefully and take them when they start to crack ("swap" for a carrot). And I planned to take them away permanently if he started getting too interested in me taking meds from pill bottles, but it hasn't become a problem. He still sits quietly every day and watches with giant eyes while the rattley bottles are picked up and put back.
BUT. Tristan can hear the difference between a full bottle and a nearly empty one, and he sit-wags with much enthusiasm when he thinks I've used the last pill in a bottle. Clever, clever baby.
Richard should be our next president because he's trustworthy, would never betray us and has a zero percent chance of being possessed by a robot demon
Sometimes I feel bad about writing and then I remember I’m not gonna feel good about my writing until I do more of it because doing more of it is how I get better at it. And thus, my pain
Not mischief BUT it’s DnD so we’re half-way on brand. I’ve been appointed as a first-time DM for my friends and I’m terrified.
If anyone has any advice come at me I’m helpless
Just did tech for a show for the first time I am so exhausted but what a rush, feeling great! Excited this is something I can do with the rest of my life!!
