ok based off a tma fic called Time Is Hard; (technically crack-fic) time travel kidfic where elias and jon both get sent back to their child bodies, but its in jon’s childhood (around 9) so elias and jon are stuck in same aged bodies and have to put up with eachother after realising elias would die if jon died
due to absolute timeline bullshittery (complimentory of the spiral, eye, and web) michael is an adult and ends up having to be the two’s guardian after gertrude adamantly refuses and sarah & emma cant/wont. As for whos running the institute, jonah’s ghost was sent back with elias’ body, sticking a 200 year old ghost in possession of a 9 year old’s body with no way to escape considering michael isnt going to let the 9 year old gauge his eyes out, so theres two options;
1. this timeline’s jonah is still in possession of james wright or adult elias, meaning he needs to be stopped or allied with the two to avoid apocalypse and a triple-avatar-death in the case that jon dies
or 2. james wright is not possessed and canon jonah’s ghost being sent back eradicated this timeline’s jonah. with james being head, adult elias is still very likely the stoner filing clerk he was pre-jonah at the institute, leading to “child” elias and adult elias meeting at some point
both of which could cause some brillaint shenanigans, and elias & jon unwillingly becoming brothers
