Bravery is the opposite of cowardice and is the definition if doing something scared. That man was scared. He knew, looking at his students in that classroom what the sun was doing, and what it meant for everyone on earth. He knew before alot of people did.
But he still took on a research mission of finding out a solution, he worked tirelessly to produce results and work on a mission to save their world. That's not the actions of a coward. A coward would've buried their head in the sand and pretended there was nothing they could do, so they might as well die.
Grace was not a coward for refusing going on a mission to certain death that he Never signed up for. Sure, he didn't sign up for alot of the other stuff that happened with Stratt either, but je absolutely never signed up to fly off to space ina suicide mission.
He didn't want to go. He didn't want to die.
That's not cowardice, he was never a coward, despite him thinking it
