Derek sighed as he made his way up the sidewalk, throwing a side-long glance at the window he probably knew far too well. He faintly heard the patter of a heart upstairs and he didn’t want to think about how attuned he’d become to listening for the pack’s heartbeats. Even from outside their houses as he made his rounds on nights he couldn’t sleep, he could hear them, could focus enough to hear them over his own.

Truthfully, he wasn’t angry about Stiles wanting company. He’d long since gotten over his resentment toward him. Stiles would always be irritating, but he’d changed. They all had. A side effect to living in Beacon Hills for too long.

Instead of climbing through the window like he was so tempted to, he walked through the front door, not at all surprised to find it unlocked (would Stiles ever learn?). He rolled his eyes and made his way upstairs, listening to the one heartbeat in the household apart from his own as it grew closer.

We got inspired by other ask blogs, and Abbey was the one to come up with the idea! She's the one who's drawn all of you lovelies, so a gentle reminder to please give her a follow and show your support!!

As for me, don't worry; I promise I am! This is my first ask blog, but none of this could be possible without Abbey and her amazing artwork on all of this. I've got the script from start to almost finish, excluding some improvisation and ideas as they come. We're both in this for the fun of it, so no worries! Life comes first and time zones are wack, but we're on things when we can. We really appreciate the concern!
