Re-reading the Percy Jackson series for the 5th time, wish me luck
Response to Opioid Crisis CDC Guidelines I personally have chronic pain. It is currently unmanaged for several reasons: 1) I have a liver enzyme deficiency which eliminates 65-75% of all generally prescribed non-opiate medications 2) I have bipolar disorder & due to #1, I cannot take generally prescribed medication to help with that. I am currently taking alternative prescription medication for my condition. The control/balance is very delicate and I am prohibited from taking any medications that *could* destabilize me (another 20-30% of pain control medications now off the table). 3) I have adhesive allergies so cannot do any type of patch. 4) I cannot take nSAIDS/anti inflammatory medications due to spontaneous bruising/GI issues. 5) I cannot take oral steroids or receive steroid injections due to the former destabilizing my bipolar and the latter interfering with my blood sugar control (yes I also have type II diabetes). The only pain controlling medications that I am able to tolerate are opioid based (Norco <side effect of insomnia> & Percocet <no side effects experienced>). Aside from pain control prescribed for medical procedures/surgeries I have not been able to reduce my pain levels to a consistent acceptable level (4-6 out of 10). I am active, I eat healthy, I manage my diabetes carefully, I am a responsible patient. Due to these regulations being implemented as a blanket statement, individual patients like myself who refuse to take pain medication regularly & will only take it for *flares* or breakthrough pain are being denied any assistance from doctors because by not taking opioids regularly we then fail urine tests & that forces the doctors to discontinue treatment or put their licensing in jeopardy. The whole system guidelines never addressed regular patients, only addicts. . #chronicpain #notanaddict #fibromyalgia #hypermobility #ehlersdanlossyndrome #invisibleillness https://www.instagram.com/p/B213n2nh7tz/?igshid=173yi42178b7s

Today's office find: tiaras! My dilemma? To display all of them, or keep them in velvet boxes. I definitely need to wear them more! #tiaralove #helpsmewrite #notanaddict #fantasy
