I did once read somewhere that the very first rendition of a swastika represented the sun ☀️ . For the most part in cultural history, the swastika was and is a symbol of good luck, but as we all know too well, this symbol was taken and corrupted with very negative intentions during our more resent history of just less 100 years, giving it a bad connotation. The word for swastika In Tibetan is Yung-Drung which literally translates as Unchanging Well-being or Rest Unshakeable, representing prosperous stability. This does bring to question if the ultimate failure of Natzi rule was symbolic in that they presented their swastika on its diagonal axis, tittering on its point of instability. .
