Phil's Notebook: Woodland Walks 3/

Phil's notebook's are there to capture ideas, interesting parts of the world he wants to remember for later. It's important, if you design shit, that you try and take things in as much as you put em out. Try n figure out how to represent shit that usually only lasts a moment, light shinin through trees, starlings in the mornin, the shapes water makes goin round rocks.

They sort of act like a place to record things, as well as a heat sink for the day. He sketches as he walks most of the time, trying to scribble down the gestures as they wander in whatever destination ranboo wants to go. He paints them later, or when they take a break, carries a few water based inks in his pocket for moments they can have a rest.

When you're old, days and moments kinda blur together, so its worth seperating them out. Plus never know when you'll need the co-ordinates

So this is based on a few things, firstly how Phil does a lot of designing and building in his hardcore world, and how he tends to try and build in a style that flirts with the organic. Secondly, how long he works on projects, i think that would translate into more detailed drawings and more meditative style of using a notebook, so for this one its capturing a day spent with ranboo (kinda similar to when they were terraforming together after the syndicate stream (?) ). And finally, how he takes screenshots of important or useful or interesting places when he travels, he likes to collect things and i think he'd do that in note books.

This is the final of the notebook series (tho i may do some more in the future, i have another phil pages based on the tattoo au me and @anarchy-schmanarchy have (i'll link in the reblogs), and i know another certain syndicate member has a diary, thats somewhat piqued my interest. I'll add a transcription of the writing in a bit it just takes me a little while to do. Hope you've all enjoyed!
