Shout out to @staff for making the decision to listen to user feedback and undoing the update. It's unfortunate how rare that happens in today's internet, we love to see an outlier.

Also, shout out to Spiders Georg for taking one for the team and keeping our sleep arachnid-free.

I genuinely believe that the new tumblr update is supposed to drive people away so they can justify shutting down the whole site, to be like "look, people aren't even using it anymore!!!

its not about the numbers game. it's not note theft, even though it's easy to call it that. It's engagement theft. Number go up is good, fine, but artists literally need attention to thrive. Don't pretend we dont- and without artists and funnymen- and the communities they build and propagate... whats the point of being on tumblr?
