its not about the numbers game. it's not note theft, even though it's easy to call it that. It's engagement theft. Number go up is good, fine, but artists literally need attention to thrive. Don't pretend we dont- and without artists and funnymen- and the communities they build and propagate... whats the point of being on tumblr?

So say goodbye to adding pictures of your blorbo with half a speech bubble over their heads so it looks like they said what OP posted. Say goodbye to the Predator meme getting followed up with more and more hands clasped together in solidarity. Say goodbye to dozens of photoshopped pictures of watermelons. Say goodbye to meme culture as we know it.

Shout out to @staff for making the decision to listen to user feedback and undoing the update. It's unfortunate how rare that happens in today's internet, we love to see an outlier.
