Woah woah woah. Okay. So much to unpack in the latest chapter of Blue Exorcist but I have so many questions. Specifically regarding how Demon Kings possess their vessels. And the Demon Kings themselves

Like up to this point, we’ve seen Demon Kings seemingly in complete control of the bodies they possess but Astaroth and Reiji seem to be working as a Unit, not as One force just using the body like a Flesh mech. It’s so interesting. How does this affect the possession? How does possession really work. I need answers.

Like, do they split who calls shots? Is it a Unified decision like Pacific Rim?? Are the other Demon Kings like this or is it specifically Astaroth? If it’s latter, why chose to do this? Why not strong arm the body like the rest seem to do?

Also Im not too surprised he joined them. Given some of his emotional reactions earlier and his desperation to seemingly please Satan. Its so interesting to see how alike to humans they are and this really brings it to the surface. Has he had the least interaction with humans? He seems the least mature out of all the kings despite being the 6th oldest among them.

Anyways, Astaroth is our friend now. I hope nothing bad happens, truly. But given where we’re going, I’m concerned. For the cast as a whole.

I hope we genuinely get to learn more about them. I love the Demon Kings as a whole because they really are fascinating characters. They’re as old as they are and yet still have some of the most immature squabbles and it’s beautiful. Thank you Kato. These are genuinely wonderful characters.
