We SHOULD talk about Roasteds things for humans

Funnel rolls her eyes and jokes about "him and his human fetish" and Roasted, blushing and steaming, demands for her to stop talking and to not call it that because that's NOT what it is. But before he can get to reprimanding his sister for being crass, Dede- the Human AU version of Dog Biscuit -tilts her head at the conversation happening on her kitchen table with a snort that jumps into a cackle behind her hand when Roasteds eyes snap open wide and he turns so red that the buttons on his cheeks light up and he steams up so bad that he whistles. She mutters with a smile that that explains some things and that she didn't even know Gingerfolk could have those while Roasted is reaching an octave only dogs can hear insisting up down backwards and forwards that he does NOT have some fetish for humans that is NOT what it is IT'S NOT!! SHE JUST LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!! THAT'S IT!!! HE SWEARS THAT'S IT!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!

*takes a long drag of my cigarette* funnel cake? been a long time since ive heard that name... (Fr tho Tumblr completely stopped giving me notifications! So how's the gang doing?)

Well, firstly firsts, I don't really answer questions on this blog anymore asdfghjkl kinda fell out of it and haven't come back to it. All of the stuff for this blog and these characters (and basically all of the stuff I do) is featured on @yakketymax now! As for Funnel n co specifically, they are all getting their own linear story that I've been calling "Crackerjack!" for funsies because even if I don't do stuff on this blog anymore, I still love them dearly and want to do things with them.

The characters themselves are probably not a lot like how you remember them- I've made a lot of changes and I still am! I hope you'll come over and see! :]

I think I missed something important!! Funnel Cake uses she/her pronouns now?? (← asked in an excited, intrigued tone!)

Funnel does go by she/her pronouns, alongside they/them as well, yes! It was a decision I was thinking over for a while and gave my indecisiveness to Funnel as a plot point about it and we both came to the conclusion that she is a trans woman! Funnel is someone that feels like she needs permission to be whoever she wants to be and it takes just as long as it did for her to use they/them pronouns as it did for her to feel like she was allowed to call herself a trans woman and explore that part of herself.

She changes almost nothing about herself besides how she wears their hair and how frequently she wears makeup (Funnel already loves themself exactly the way she is and finds herself deeply attractive, but being referred to in a masculine sense or even a non-gendered way at times is what felt wrong) and often jokes about not wanting to reprint all her merchandise when asked about any form of a name change. It took her a long time to feel like "Funnel Cake" to begin with!

I know that aren't Cookie Run anymore, but do you think Funnel wouldn't like Shadow Milk because of how similar they are

Absolutely not I do not think that, I think that Funnel and Shadow Milk would trade heads to be silly and horrific and that they'd grab a bite to eat together while the general public screams and holds their heads in agony due to their combined Sinister Auras. I think Shadow Milk would love the Phony Fearhouse just as much as Funnel would love his fucked up theater of deceit and lies. I think they would be best friends and that that would be the worst thing that could possibly fucking happen. I think they are this image

What did Poppy do to Roasted that needs forgiving??

Poppy got Roasted arrested.

You see, all Poppy wanted was to hang out with someone he thought was cool and hadn't talked to much, but the thing about hanging out with Poppy is that Poppy is a fucking menace to society. For some people, this is great! It's fun, it's thrilling! There are plenty of people that love breaking windows and causing issues for the local population. Roasted is not one of those people but Poppy was so insistent that it would be fun that Roasted eventually started to believe him and tagged along, with some part of him also thinking that maybe making genuine friends with Poppy would help with the issues between him and Funnel. They set off for their night of crimes and various debaucheries and just when Roasted starts having a bit of fun with all this, lights are on them and they're both being put in handcuffs. Poppy plays this off lightheartedly as they get booked, but Roasted isn't having as much of a laugh as he is.

No, Roasted is crying in the back of the squad car. The man is crying and brokenly whispering about how upset Funnel is going to be with him. He looks absolutely miserable and Poppy doesn't really know what to do with that. He's never been around someone who doesn't love this stuff.

...Fuck. God, he fucked up.

Roasted doesn't say another word to him no matter how much he tries to get him to and the next time he hears Roasted voice is when Roasted is using his phone call to contact Funnel to come pick him up tomorrow. The only thing funny about this entire ordeal is the way the entire department flinches when Funnel lets out an absolutely ear-splitting "WHAT?!" over the line when Roasted explains what happened.

Prior to that night, Poppy and Roasted hadn't interacted much outside of work and, after that night, they hardly interacted during work, with both Roasted starting to avoid Poppy and Funnel deliberately working to keep the two of them off the same shift unless necessary. Roasted kiiiiind of forgives Poppy? But the sincerity of that is debatable. Roasted isn't very argumentative in most situations where he's uncomfortable, while Poppy pushes what he wants onto others because he thinks he always knows what'll work and what won't.

Poppy wants to be forgiven.

Roasted doesn't argue. ...Verbally.
