You know how Farkle wants to rule the world? Well, he's actually going to help to heal it. With his wife. :D

Farkle's a scientist. He's going to be part of a team that researches ways to cure incurable diseases. But before he gets to that important work, he helps out Lucas with diagnosing health conditions in the animals he treats. Farkle also needs to train his eyes to spot things he's very good at missing, and animals are easier to practice on than people.

Riley founds an organisation that raises funds for Farkle’s research team. She's the spokesperson for it, and she becomes a "hero" to many people for the way she deals with the politicians and corporations that try to thwart her good deeds. 

The organisation is called "Donut in the Sky". It slips under the radar for a good many years until people start hearing about "The Horizon Project" - which Riley introduces in an online video.

BONUS: Maya helps with the artwork for the organisation. She becomes a commercial artist for money's sake, but she does a lot of painting and sculpting for her own enjoyment. The art she does for Riley's organisation and Lucas' veterinary practice are some of her favourite things, and she does them both for free.
