Thomas Sanders please read (Sad but uplifting true story)
Dear Thomas Sanders @thatsthat24,
My life has been chaotic, stressful and a bucket full of sadness. I went from a happy girl who was excited for Christmas to a girl who cried almost every night. My brother was emitted into the hospital on December 15th 2016 in the morning because he was having trouble breathing. My mum, mother of 5, was terrified. My brother has down syndrome and we are learning as we go. So we brought him to the Childrenās Hospital thinking it would help more than the clinic. The doctors had told my mum that if they didnāt bring him to the Childrenās, he would have died in a few hours that day. His heart stopped twice that day in front of her. It was scary and exhausting for her. He had his legs amputated but he was there for two whole months. He turns 11 months February 15th, tomorrow. He is home now, no legs but happy as ever and I am so much better.Ā
Point is, during those two months, I had hit rock bottom. I cried and stressed more than ever. Iām the oldest, 15 turning 16 soon. So I have all my siblings to look after. My dad took some time off of work but we were still struggling. Money, food and our sanity was not our good source. We donāt have much money to begin with so we struggled. Anyways, I had only Youtube videos and books to go to when I felt down. Your videos, your happiness and Instagram video clips were what gave me hope. I would take time to watch your videos and scroll through your Instagram to make me feel better. I wouldnāt have stayed so strong without you.Ā
I know posting about this probably will not reach to you and you might not see it but I hope so. I am posting this because for those who read this, I want you to know that it gets better. Whatever you are going through. My brother is home (he came home last Friday) and my family is quite happy as well as myself. Thomas, if you see this.. Thank you so much. You mean a lot to me. I wonāt be posting photos of him because of privacy reasons. But his story is out there. <3
Thanks again,
Chloe (the girl from Canada)
