Why do you do things the way you do them? Have you ever asked that question yourself? Why do you celebrate Halloween? And why do you do it the way everyone else does it? It’s just an example and I am talking about Halloween only because it just passed. Few days ago I happened to watch a wonderful documentary called ENLIGHTENMENT (please find the link in bio to my website where I posted it - it’s on YouTube and totally free). One of the speakers told an interesting thing about understanding why we do things the way we do and why we perceive the world in particular way. And a simple answer is that it is based only on our own experience, our own personal views our own believes and it is based on what we’ve been taught and what we’ve learned and whatever we perceive to be true, wether it is true or it’s completely bias and that’s why our perception of the world is massively distorted and very limited. And we go out there project that out on to the world, following tradition, rules, laws. So I will ask you one more time, why do you celebrate Halloween (or Christmas just an another example) why do you carve pumpkins, why do you dress up in costumes (or why do you give gifts to people)? Is it because you’ve learned it somewhere, because it’s a tradition, because everyone does it. But who made those traditions, why are they so important and are they really. Why does the pumpkin has to be orange (when there are so many other types available) and why does it have to be carved or why we decorate a Christmas Tree and in quite particular way? Question it, don’t just do it, do not fall for crowd syndrome. I’m not saying you should act like a teenager going against the grain, what I’m saying that nothing is certain and it is just a perception created in your head based on your own limited experiences only. #halloween #enlightenment #questioneverything #nothingiscertain #nothingisright #nothingiswrong #perception #ditortedperception #presentmoment #bepresent #meditate #meditation #mindfulness #mindfulliving #yoga #teaching #teachingyoga #yogateacher #yogalove #yogalife #yogini #yogagram #yogaeveryday #yogisofinstagram #yogaaddict #yogaeverydamnday #practice #pranayama #peac (at Hackney, Hackney, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpr6044BQ-B/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=viinhjhscrqv
